Educational Program for Youngsters!
Pacific Coast Environmental Conservancy and Cabrillo Marine Aquarium are working together on an educational program that gives students an opportunity to work along side PCEC biologist to study the stress response in fish exposed to contaminants. Students will participate in a 4 week long program where they will go out every Sunday for 4 weeks to collect blood samples from specific fish species (white croaker) and study how contaminants impact stress in this species. The students will learn how to collect samples in the field and help biologist process the samples. After the 4 week program students will work with biologist in lab to analyze the samples. If you have a child or know someone who is interested fill out the application and email it back to PCEC space is limited to 5 spots and the deadline is July 10th!!!
